Project Engineer

About the job Want to see your projects leave the factory tested and ready to power a data center? At NordicEPOD you'll run the technical delivery of our EPODs. You'll follow each project from signed order through engineering, procurement, factory assembly, testing and handover, working closely with customers, electrical and mechanical engineers, suppliers and production. With real ownership of your deliveries and the factory close at hand, you'll see the results of your decisions every day and help shape how we run projects as we grow. What you'll do Plan engineering deliverables and activities against the project schedule, follow them up from order to shipment, and raise slips while there's still time to recover

Act as the customer's technical point of contact: run clarification meetings, manage document submittals and approvals, and close out open comments

Handle change: assess the technical, cost and schedule impact of change requests and deviations, and make sure every decision is documented and communicated

Coordinate design, procurement, production, quality and test so that drawings, materials and people are ready when the build needs them

Follow up major equipment suppliers from technical clarifications to change requests and delivery dates, including MV/LV switchgear, transformers, UPS, batteries, steel structures and cooling units.

Plan and participate in Factory Acceptance Tests with customers, on site or witnessing remotely

Ensure that the engineering bill of materials (eBOM) for the project stays up to date through the whole project lifecycle

Facilitate the internal design coordination meetings between electrical and mechanical designers, and follow up on actions and blockers.

What you need A bachelor's degree or higher in engineering, or a technical vocational degree plus relevant project experience

3+ years in project engineering or technical project work, delivering electrical, industrial or other engineered equipment

Experience coordinating across disciplines such as design, production, procurement and suppliers

The ability to read and work with electrical drawings and specifications: single-line diagrams, schematics and BOMs

Fluent written and spoken English

Nice to have Background in LV/MV power distribution, switchgear or data center infrastructure

FAT, SAT or commissioning experience

Document control and submittal processes on international projects

Planning tools such as MS Project or Primavera, and ERP systems

Experience navigating in 3D design tools such as Autodesk Inventor and Forma (previously ACC)

Experience from a manufacturing focused business

Working to customer specifications and national codes outside Norway

Location and work model Workplace address: Orhusveien 77, 3070 Sande i Vestfold. This is a full-time, on-site role at our office in Sande. We don't offer remote work, because you coordinate daily with engineering, production and test. Occasional travel to customers, suppliers and site, mainly within Europe. Working language is English.
