Laboratory Technician

About the company

We are working with an established renewable resources company who are looking to grow their team internally with an experienced Laboratory Technician.

Your tasks

Purpose of Role

• To carry out analysis on various components, pilots and water samples by following both in-house and industry test methods.
• Calibrating and Standardising laboratory equipment aligned with the laboratory quality management system.
• Blending of a wide range of components.
• Preparing additive solutions independently and consistently.
• Work as part of a team to achieve quality and production targets.
• Supporting the laboratory quality management system.
• Pro-actively raise non-conformities, room for improvements or out of spec results.
• Supporting MSDS creation in accordance with legislations and managing all operational aspects of the ICPMS project as required.

Requirements

Core Skills/ Attributes Needed

• Strong technical knowledge, communication and organisational skills.
• A Degree in Chemistry (or Equivalent) is advantageous.
• Experience working in a laboratory is desirable.
• An Interest improving Quality Systems.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to think laterally, flexibly and efficiently under pressure.
• Must drive & have own transport - due to location of the Company.
