Noble Recruiting have a fantastic opportunity - looking for an experienced Environmental Compliance Manager based in Maldon, Essex The successful candidate will manage a small team, work closely with staff across the company, engage with the suppliers, customers, NGOs and government to ensure the successful delivery of environmental improvements across the company.

Salary: £50,000 per annum + company benefits detailed at interview stage Location: Maldon, Essex Position: Full time - Permanent, On Site - with some foreign travel required within the business requirements of the position. Hours: 8:00am to 5:00pm, Monday to Friday

Your Role within the Company: Work with the management and purchasing team to manage corporate environmental compliance and purchasing governance. Ensure all processes comply with the FSC UK, UKTR, EUDR, Construction Products Regulation, Modern Slavery Act Compliance. Maintain a robust due diligence system to ensure compliance with the UKTR, including assessing and auditing suppliers, and coordinating with external service providers. Act as a key point of contact for any legal compliance queries, both internal and external. Reporting to government enforcement bodies, certification schemes and trade associations. Monitoring progress and reporting to the Board of Directors. Representing the company at external committees, supporting wider industry improvements. Developing internal training materials, marketing and communication content and coordinating with relevant external service provides. Work with the Quality Manager to ensure environmental compliance is successfully incorporated into company procedures. What we are looking for from you: Firstly, a real passion to drive change! Strong & recent background within the Timber Industry. Confident knowledge UKTR, EUDR, SFM, TPP, FSC UK, PEFC, alongside Timber legality & certification expertise. Experience in timber trade supply chain or forest management. Confident liaising with governing boards and the Board internally and representing the company at external cmmitties. Experience with developing marketing, training material and communication content. Auditing and training skills. Strong influencing skills. Analytical, rigorous attention to detail. Own transport is essential.
