As Purchasing Manager, you have the overall responsibility for the purchasing function. You lead the work that serves as operational support to the entire organization regarding both strategic and operational issues. An important task is to work with existing and new suppliers to optimize costs, quality, and delivery precision. The work involves many points of contact, both internally and externally. You are a good communicator and have the ability to conduct change management within the business in a trustworthy manner while simultaneously gaining support for strategic procurement and purchasing issues.
Qualifications We are looking for you who have a university degree in purchasing, economics, or logistics and several years of experience in purchasing, preferably within the chemical industry in an international environment. You should be experienced in working with the entire Supply chain area and will also drive VMI and other Supply Chain tasks. We take it for granted that you have experience in negotiations and contract writing. You must be proficient in English, both spoken and written, as several of our suppliers are international.
Personal qualities Your experience is important, but we place the greatest emphasis on your personal qualities. It is important that you are a person with strong drive who likes to drive changes and constantly find new opportunities. You can combine analytical ability and business acumen with good communication skills, and you are a secure and competent leader. The role requires great commitment and the ability to take initiative.

Additional information and contact information The position is a permanent employment 100%, starting as soon as possible. The position is located in Laholm and you will report to Supply Chain Manager at Diab AB. You must not be asthmatic or allergic to isocyanates.
