The Consumer Technology division carries GfK's core business of providing market data services to major domestic consumer electronics manufacturers. In addition to strengthening existing business, we are advancing measures for future growth. In particular, through the proposal and provision of various research and gfknewron—a new Market Intelligence Platform using AI—we are expected to support clients in solving speedy business challenges and making management decisions. We have decided to strengthen our team structure to reinforce relationships with key clients and gain further trust as a business partner. We are looking for someone to play an active role as our colleague.
Key Responsibilities
- Act to strengthen client relationships and achieve goals in accordance with departmental strategy. Coordinate with team members to perform duties effectively and efficiently.
- Listen to client challenges and provide consulting proposals to solve those challenges.
- Closely monitor market movements to identify and develop new clients.
- Introduce domestic consumer electronics sales data services to domestic and foreign-affiliated clients (mainly consumer electronics manufacturers) and conclude contracts.
- For existing clients, plan and propose new/additional services through relationship building with upper management and expanding contact points to new departments.
- Coordinate with overseas GfK group companies and communicate regarding the status of Japanese clients (contracts, proposal contents, etc.).
- Experience in B2B planning and proposal sales/negotiation (6 years or more).
- Experience in business negotiations regarding price revisions, contract renewals, and changes in terms and conditions.
- High communication skills (includes communication with executive level).
- Proficiency in or interest in numerical and data analysis.
- Ability to conduct external presentations using PowerPoint.
- English proficiency at a level capable of participating in meetings, handling emails, and creating documents with internal stakeholders, including those overseas (customer negotiation or native level is not required).
- Industry knowledge regarding the consumer electronics market and experience in marketing operations.
