Maintenance Technician
Join our Maintenance team as a Maintenance Technician! Nidec Powertrain Systems de México is a division of Nidec Corporation, a world leader in the manufacturing of motors and automotive components. As a transnational company with high standards of Japanese engineering precision, our plant in Mexico is key in the global supply chain, operating under international regulations. In this position, you will be a fundamental piece within the Maintenance department, ensuring maximum availability, operational continuity, and technical optimization of our automated production lines.
What will be your mission?
To guarantee the maximum availability, reliability, and operational continuity of the automated assembly lines in the production area. Your main objective will be the precise execution of preventive and corrective maintenance, fault diagnosis through root cause analysis, and the programming of continuous improvements in PLC systems, ensuring the highest standards of quality and engineering of the plant.
Your main challenges (activities) will be:
- Execute preventive and corrective maintenance on automated assembly lines.
- Perform fault diagnosis through root cause analysis and implement effective countermeasures.
- Resolve complex faults and apply continuous improvements through PLC programming and modification.
- Design and optimize preventive maintenance plans, as well as complement existing schemes.
- Manage spare parts stock and coordinate attention and support with technical providers.
- Prepare detailed technical fault reports for the operational control of the area.
What do we need from you?
Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in automated assembly lines within the automotive industry.
Indispensable technical knowledge:
- Mastery in electricity, electronics, pneumatics, hydraulics, and automation.
- Interpretation and diagnosis of electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic diagrams.
- Programming and manipulation of PLC for fault detection and development of process improvements.
- Basic handling of service equipment such as compressors, chillers, electrical substations, and dryers.
- Use of basic workshop tools, drills, and cutting equipment.
Languages: Intermediate English
Desirable: Knowledge of plastic injection machines and previous experience with assembly robots of various brands.
Your education:
Education: Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or an area related to Industrial Maintenance.

- Sense of urgency and adaptation: Ability to respond opportunely to unforeseen faults in the production line while maintaining quality and work pace under demanding regulations.
- Attention to detail and precision: Technical rigor in the interpretation of diagrams and in the execution of preventive and corrective maintenance.
