IT Operations and Compliance Support Engineer

Join our Information Systems team as an IT Operations & Compliance Support Engineer! Nidec Powertrain Systems de México is a division of Nidec Corporation, a world leader in the manufacturing of automotive motors and components. As a transnational company with high standards of Japanese engineering precision, our plant in Mexico is key in the global supply chain, operating under international regulations. To strengthen our technological operations and ensure regulatory compliance at the plant, we are looking for a dynamic IT professional focused on excellence to coordinate technical support, the integration of production data with PLCs/ERP/MES systems, and the management of IT controls and audits in our manufacturing environment.

WHAT WILL BE YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES?

• Provide first and second-level technical support to office and production floor users (hardware, software, and connectivity).
• Strictly document change requests in the ERP (Oracle NetSuite) and MES (Plex) systems, collecting required evidence for SOX audits.
• Support the creation, maintenance, and monitoring of communication and data transmission from production line PLCs to the automatic collection system.
• Monitor and provide support for basic network and server infrastructure on the production floor under the supervision of the area.
• Ensure compliance with information security policies on computing equipment and access granted to personnel.

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR IN YOU?

• Education: Computer Systems Engineering, Information Technologies, Mechatronics, or a related degree (Degree / Completed studies).
• Experience: 2 to 3 years of verifiable experience in automotive manufacturing environments.
• Language: Intermediate / Advanced English (B1/B2) – Crucial for constant communication with corporate and suppliers in the USA.

TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE AND REQUIREMENTS:

• Technical support to end users and basic maintenance of industrial network infrastructure.
• Industrial Networks and Communication Protocols (TCP/IP, OPC, production floor/assembly networks).
• Basic / intermediate understanding of PLCs (reading and mapping production signals/tags for data transmission).
• Change Control Methodologies (ITIL, evidence management, and technical documentation).
• Information Security Fundamentals (password policies, access control, log safeguarding, SOX / ISO 27001 / IATF).
• Desirable: Knowledge of the operational flow and manufacturing process mapping within ERP (Oracle NetSuite) and MES (Plex) systems.
