In this position, you will be a fundamental piece within the Engineering department, ensuring the development, optimization, and stability of plastic injection molding processes, meeting the most demanding standards of quality and operational efficiency.

Your main challenges (activities) will be:

• Develop and optimize plastic injection molding processes.
• Ensure process stability and product quality through the implementation of advanced scientific molding methodologies.
• Coordinate decisive actions with Production, Quality, and Maintenance to resolve deviations and guarantee operational continuity.
• Analyze and improve process variables applying Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma tools.
• Guarantee compliance with safety standards and customer technical specifications.
• Supervise the correct adjustment of molds, brushing, and the functioning of thermal and mechanical systems.

What do we need from you?

Experience: Minimum 2 years of previous experience in plastic injection molding processes.

Indispensable technical knowledge:

• Scientific Molding, Design of Experiments (DOE), Cp and Cpk.
• Quality tools: Process FMEA (PFMEA), Control Plan, Statistical Process Control (SPC), and Measurement Systems Analysis (MSA).
• Continuous improvement methodologies: Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and root cause analysis.
• Hot and Cold Runner Systems, ejectors, sliders, and lifters.
• Interpretation of mechanical drawings and blueprints.
• Cooling systems, mold adjustment and brushing.

Soft Skills (Key competencies):

• Analytical capacity and problem-solving: Ability to identify root causes in molding process variations and implement definitive solutions.
• Teamwork and interdepartmental collaboration: Ease of coordinating efforts with Production, Quality, and Maintenance.
• Focus on quality and precision: Technical rigor to maintain process stability and strict compliance with customer specifications.
• Results and efficiency orientation: Proactivity to apply Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma in the reduction of waste and cycle times.
• Adaptability and sense of urgency: Willingness to respond quickly to extraordinary production requirements.

Languages: English (Advanced / Conversational).

Your education: Education: Engineering (Mechanical, Mechatronics, Chemical, Materials, Industrial, or an area related to Plastic Injection).
