Clinical Services Manager, North East
Nicholas Howard are delighted to be recruiting for a Clinical Services Manager. This role will cover the Nijmegen, Arnhem, Enschede, Doetinchem and Almere regions.
The CSM will motivate, educate, train, support, and challenge customers to ensure that the right people receive insulin pump therapy at the ideal time. The CSM is expected to leverage their own clinical experience, alongside clinical evidence and best practices, in clinical discussions to influence the choice of therapy. The role involves introducing the insulin pump to individuals when appropriate, in collaboration with the relevant healthcare professional.
Responsibilities:
- Promote the benefits of insulin pump therapy and the Insulin Management System to healthcare providers and patients through group and/or individual sessions.
- Build and maintain relationships with healthcare professionals (endocrinologists, diabetes nurse specialists, technical physicians, and members of multidisciplinary diabetes teams) to correctly position insulin pump therapy and ensure timely patient access to the system; use clinical evidence and experience to support these discussions.
- Organize and conduct patient training sessions in collaboration with outpatient clinics, based on identified needs and urgency.
- Assist in providing regular product demonstrations to patients and healthcare professionals.
- Collaborate with field sales, inside sales, and customer care teams using an account management approach to achieve targets for insulin pump therapy initiation and retention.
- Relay relevant information and data back to the appropriate internal teams.
- Manage customer records in Salesforce and update account plans accurately and in a timely manner.
- Provide support for group events such as pump support groups, information sessions, in-office educational events, patient information evenings, provider days, etc.
- Assist with product training for sales and clinical staff.
- Keep diabetes-related knowledge up to date with the latest developments.
- Complete administrative tasks in a timely manner.
- Perform other assigned duties.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, and experience training and/or supporting insulin pump patients (or equivalent experience).
- Current professional qualifications and/or certifications (e.g., certified diabetes nurse, registered dietitian, registered nurse, or equivalent).
- Driver’s license (Category B).
- Commercial acumen.
- Previous experience in the industry and/or the corporate sector.
Desired Skills and Competencies:
- Certified diabetes nurse or similar preferred; registered dietitian, physiotherapist, nurse, or equivalent.

- Knowledge of and credibility within the diabetes community; existing clinical diabetes network.
- Proficient in working with computers and various digital platform systems.
Physical Requirements:
- Valid driver's license (Category B) and residence within the assigned geographical area. This position requires regular business travel, typically by car within a specific geographical region.
- Overnight stays for work purposes, generally 1–2 nights per month.
- The work environment will include hospitals, clinics, outpatient departments, your own home (or home office), and your car.
- Some lifting may be required when sending or receiving shipments, handling samples, supplies, or literature, and transporting a laptop.
NOTE: This role involves working primarily outside the office (travel within the assigned territory/region is required).
