NEXTON is recruiting a Senior Data Engineer M/F, in CDI, in Paris!

Your future working environment:

You will join the Data Engineering - Europe Zone team under the responsibility of the Head of Data Engineering. Your mission will be to take technical responsibility for key components of the Consumer Data Hub (CDH): a unified consumer data platform covering more than 10 countries and several tens of millions of profiles. This platform directly feeds marketing activation, advanced analytics, forecasting, as well as our Agentic AI capabilities.

As a senior individual contributor, you will design robust systems, write production-level code, and collaborate with multidisciplinary stakeholders to translate complex business needs into scalable solutions.

Your missions:

Design & Technical Architecture: Contribute to the architecture, technical direction, and long-term vision of the CDH platform.

Ensure technical consistency between different components and identify/resolve performance, scalability, and technical debt issues.

Development & Industrialization: Develop production code in Python, SQL, and dbt.

Establish and guarantee data quality standards, monitoring, and observability practices.

Deploy and maintain CI/CD pipelines, containers (Docker, Kubernetes), and orchestration (Airflow).

Ensure strict compliance with data regulatory requirements (notably RGPD).

Innovation & Modeling: Participate in emerging methodologies (Spec Driven Development assisted by AI) and extend our Agentic AI stack (Cortex, LangGraph, Phoenix, etc.).

Design and evolve data modeling (star schemas, dimensional modeling).

Your deliverables:

• Specifications and technical design documents (design documents).

• Application components, data pipelines, and production-quality dbt/Python packages.

• Optimized data models compliant with governance/RGPD rules.

• Continuous integration/deployment (CI/CD) pipelines and Infrastructure as Code scripts (Terraform).

• Test suites, observability metrics, and data quality monitoring dashboards.

Your experience: You have 7 years or more of experience in Data Engineering, with solid mastery of managing complex data platforms.

Your Hard Skills:

• Imperative expertise in SQL, Python, and dbt.

• Proven production experience on Snowflake and Azure Cloud services.

• Strong skills in data modeling (star schema, dimensional modeling).

• Practice of CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), orchestration (Airflow), and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).

• Mastery of observability topics (Stack Grafana) and data regulations (RGPD).

• Fluent English (C1/C2) necessary to operate in an international context.
