NEXTON is recruiting a Design System Manager M/F, on a CDI contract, in Paris!

Your future working environment:

As a Senior Architect Design Systems M/F, you will join the Product, Design, and Engineering teams of one of our major account clients. Acting as a true bridge between Design and Tech, you are the guarantor of the vision, consistency, and technical sustainability of the Design System.

In a hybrid role with a strong Engineering and software Architecture dimension, you will evolve at the junction of Design, Product, and the DSI. Your mission is central: structure the technical ecosystem, define contribution rules, reassure Engineering teams, and orchestrate the distribution of UI components across all the group's brands and technologies.

Your missions:

• Architecture & Multi-technologies: You design a unified and robust architecture, capable of efficiently feeding heterogeneous frontend environments (Angular, React, Flutter).

• Design Tokens Management & Theming: You define the structure, the breakdown (global, alias, specific), and the automation pipelines for tokens to support multi-branding and dynamic theming.

• Design to Code Workflow Alignment: You optimize the interoperability between design tools (Figma) and code repositories (GitHub, Storybook) in order to eliminate duplication and guarantee a perfect Single Source of Truth.

• Governance & Operating Model: You formalize the contribution model (centralized/federated), lead arbitration instances, and frame the rules for code and design reviews.

• Innovation & Automation: You integrate AI-assisted flows at the heart of UI build chains (code generation, visual QA, automatic documentation updates).

• Acculturation & Coaching: You train cross-functional teams (Designers, Tech Leads), promote knowledge sharing, and support change management to maximize adoption.

• Steering key deliverables: You are responsible for the technical maturity audit, the 12-24 month strategic roadmap, the architecture model, and tooling recommendations.

Qualifications

You have solid experience in software architecture, frontend engineering, or technical steering of Design Systems on an international scale (typical profile: Tech Lead, Design Engineer, or System Architect).

You master Design Tokens architecture (Style Dictionary, Token Studio) and multi-brand dynamic theming.

You have sharp expertise in Web Components and integration within target frameworks (Angular, React, Flutter).

You possess in-depth knowledge of the Figma ecosystem (Variables, CI/CD, plugins) as well as modular documentation portals (Storybook, Zeroheight, dedicated sites).

You have practical experience (or a strong appetite) for integrating AI tools into development and design workflows.

You are proficient in English, both spoken and written, to evolve serenely in an international environment.

You possess natural technical leadership and a true coaching posture; you excel in facilitation and managing various stakeholders (from the DSI to Product Designers); you adopt a data-driven approach to measure system adoption; and you know how to unite multidisciplinary teams around a common technical vision: this mission is made for you!
