NEXTON is recruiting a NetDevOps Observability Engineer M/F, on a CDI contract, in Paris!

Your future work environment:

Within the Routing & Switching Squad of our client in the banking sector, you will play a key role in the transformation and modernization of network infrastructures. You will be at the heart of observability, automation, and orchestration activities to support all architecture and engineering teams.

Your missions:

Within our teams of experts, your missions will be as follows:

• Implement the common network foundation for observability, supervision, monitoring, and alerting.
• Deploy the network automation, orchestration, and industrialization strategy.
• Integrate into the group's cross-functional tools.
• Support architects as well as N3 and N2 engineers in the NetDevOps approach.
• Work in project mode and lead your projects from end to end.
• Carry out necessary evolutions within the framework of project requests, by proposing automation actions for these modifications.
• Write, maintain, and improve specification, implementation, and operational documentation.
• Ensure incident management related to production and staging network equipment (24/7 on-call shifts for one-week periods).

With higher education (Master's degree) in computer science with a specialization in networking, you possess a minimum of 5 years of experience within complex production environments.

Your qualities and technical skills are as follows:

• Excellent mastery of observability, supervision, and monitoring tools: Telegraf, Alloy, Prometheus, Vector, PagerDuty, Datadog, Splunk, Grafana.
• Excellent mastery of On-Prem and AWS automation and industrialization concepts.
• Strong programming skills (notably Python) and middleware (glue) design for automation.
• Strong skills in automation tools (NetBox, Ansible...) and orchestration (Rundeck...).
• Good skills in network and security equipment: Cisco (Catalyst, Nexus, ASR), Firewalls/VPN (Palo Alto, Fortinet, Cisco), LB, Proxy, Reverse-Proxy (F5, RSWAF, WSA), Tacacs/Radius (ISE).
• Good skills in BGP and OSPF dynamic routing protocols, as well as VRF.
• Knowledge of IT and media network architectures.

• Excellent interpersonal skills for teamwork and collaboration with N2/N3 architects and engineers.
• Proactive in proposing improvements to the quality and productivity of the activity.

• Ability to step back to judge priorities and meet deadlines.
• Professional level of English.
