£38,000 + discretionary bonus | Up to 50 hours per week | 1:00am start
Green Waste Care is a growing commercial waste collection business operating across Central London and the South East.
We’re looking for a reliable and professional 3.5-tonne Driver to join our team on a fully remote basis.
You’ll be responsible for completing scheduled commercial waste and recycling collections, primarily across the City of London and West End.
The Role
£38,000 basic salary + discretionary bonus
Fully remote – no daily office or depot attendance
Up to 50 hours per week
Average working week of approximately 47.5 hours
1:00am start
Monday–Friday: approximately 8.5 hours per day
Saturday: approx. 5 hours
Sunday off
28 days annual leave including bank holidays
Predominantly City of London & West End routes
Your Responsibilities
- Drive a company 3.5-tonne vehicle safely and responsibly.
- Complete scheduled commercial waste and recycling collections.
- Follow planned routes and manage your workload efficiently.
- Load and unload waste bags, bins and containers.
- Carry out daily vehicle checks and report any issues.
- Maintain a clean, tidy and presentable vehicle.
- Provide a professional service to commercial customers.
- Report missed collections, access issues and other problems promptly.
- Work independently while staying in regular contact with the team.
- Carry out regular manual handling.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- Full UK driving licence suitable for the vehicle.
- Previous experience driving a 3.5-tonne vehicle.
- Confident driving in busy London traffic.
- Reliable, professional and customer-focused.
- Good communication skills.
- Comfortable working independently.
- Able to work the required Monday–Saturday schedule.
- Able to reliably start at 1:00am.
Desirable, but not essential:
- Commercial waste or recycling experience.
- Trade waste or refuse collection experience.
- Delivery or collection driving experience.
- Experience dealing with commercial customers.
- Good knowledge of Central London and the West End.
Waste industry experience isn't essential – we're happy to consider experienced drivers from delivery, collection or other customer-facing roles.
