BUSINESS MANAGER - LOGISTICS UNTIL INTERNATIONAL CUSTOMER

On behalf of one of our clients, we are seeking a Business Manager – Logistics who wants to combine strategic leadership with operational responsibility in an operation where customer satisfaction, business development, and sustainable growth are crucial for success. You will play a central role in developing the business, strengthening customer relations, and ensuring high quality in the operational delivery.

The role is located abroad and requires you to be ready to relocate from Sweden. This position is carried out on behalf of a leading and well-reputed company within the service sector. Due to the business-critical and strategic nature of the recruitment, the company has chosen to remain anonymous in this initial stage.

ABOUT THE ROLE

As Business Manager – Logistics, you are responsible for the overall management, development, and results of the logistics operation. The role combines operational management, business development, and leadership with a clear focus on profitability, customer satisfaction, and business development.

You have a broad area of responsibility that encompasses both daily operations and long-term work in developing the business, identifying new opportunities, and ensuring that the operation delivers according to set goals and service levels. The role involves close collaboration with customers, international partners, and internal functions, as well as a strong focus on creating value through strong relationships and high operational quality.

You will become a key person in the operation where you are expected to develop both the business and the organization by driving improvement initiatives, streamlining processes, and creating conditions for continued growth and competitiveness.

YOUR MISSION

You have the operational and strategic responsibility to ensure that the operation reaches its goals within finance, customer satisfaction, quality, and business development. The role encompasses both managing daily operations and initiating and driving improvements that strengthen the operation's performance and long-term development.

Your tasks:

• Lead and develop the logistics operation and ensure that operational, commercial, and financial goals are achieved.
• Coach and develop employees, managers, and future leaders within the organization.
• Build and develop long-term relationships with customers, partners, and other key stakeholders.
• Identify and drive new business opportunities, services, and commercial initiatives that contribute to growth.
• Ensure that the operation delivers according to agreed service levels and customer commitments.
• Be responsible for budget, follow-up, reporting, and the operation's overall results.
• Drive improvement work within processes, working methods, and operational efficiency.
• Analyze market development and business opportunities to strengthen the operation's competitiveness and continued development.

The role requires both operational drive and strategic height. You are expected to work closely with the operation, understand the business, and translate opportunities into concrete initiatives that create business value and long-term results.

YOUR PROFILE

We are looking for you who have experience from a leading role within logistics, third-party logistics (3PL), freight forwarding, supply chain, or related operations. You thrive in a role where you get to combine business development, leadership, and operational responsibility, and are motivated by creating results through people, relationships, and a strong customer focus.

You are a confident leader with good business understanding and experience in developing operations, building strong teams, and creating long-term customer relations. You have the ability to combine strategic thinking with operational responsibility and are driven by creating growth, improvements, and sustainable business results.

We believe you have:

• At least 5-10 years of experience from a senior leadership role with overall operational responsibility within logistics, 3PL, freight forwarding, supply chain, or related operations.
• Documented experience in leading and developing teams, managers, and organizations.
• Experience in business development and creating new business opportunities.
• Experience in key account management and strategic customer development.
• Experience in commercial and contract-related negotiations.
• Good understanding of logistics operations, supply chain processes, and operational management.
• Experience with budget responsibility, financial follow-up, and results management.
• Ability to combine strategic thinking with operational responsibility.
• Very good knowledge of English, both spoken and written.
