Technical Design Manager | Design & Build

Lead and contribute to design development across all project phases, from concept design and design development to technical documentation Prepare and coordinate detailed 2D drawings, construction details and authority submission drawings using AutoCAD Develop and review high-quality 3D models, visualisations and renderings using SketchUp and other relevant software to support design studies, presentations and client approval Translate design concepts into practical and buildable solutions that meet project budget, timeline and fabrication requirements Work closely with Project Managers, fabricators, contractors, suppliers and consultants to ensure designs are executed accurately Participate in client meetings, design presentations and technical discussions, providing professional design input and recommendations Conduct regular site visits to monitor project progress, review shop drawings and samples, and resolve design or coordination issues Review drawings and provide guidance and mentorship to junior designers where required Research and recommend suitable materials, finishes, systems and construction methods based on project requirements Contribute creative ideas and practical design solutions to enhance project quality and overall delivery Job Requirements Bachelor's in Architecture, Interior Design or a related built environment discipline Minimum 8 years of relevant professional experience in architectural and/or interior design in Singapore Strong proficiency in AutoCAD and experience preparing detailed construction documentation Proficient in 3D modelling and rendering software such as SketchUp, 3ds Max, Rhino, V-Ray, Enscape or similar Good understanding of materials, detailing, fabrication techniques and construction processes Strong design development and technical knowledge, with the ability to translate concepts into practical solutions Good communication and coordination skills, with confidence in working with clients, contractors and project stakeholders Prior experience in a design-and-build environment will be highly advantageous
