Secondary ICT Teacher

The Newton Group of Schools is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced secondary ICT teacher to join our team in Doha, Qatar, for an immediate start.
Since 2006, Newton Group has provided high-quality British curriculum education across its schools in Qatar. We are looking for a confident classroom practitioner who can bring technology to life, inspire students and contribute positively to a collaborative and ambitious school community.
The role
The successful candidate will deliver engaging and challenging ICT and Computer Science lessons across the secondary phase, supporting students in developing the digital, computational and problem-solving skills needed for an increasingly technology-driven world.
We are looking for a teacher who is confident in their subject knowledge, experienced in the British curriculum and able to make an immediate contribution to the department.
The successful candidate will have
A recognised teaching qualification, such as a PGCE or equivalent
A bachelor’s degree in ICT, Computer Science or a closely related subject
Recent experience teaching ICT and/or Computer Science within a British curriculum school
Experience teaching at secondary level, including examination classes
Strong subject knowledge and effective classroom management
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
A commitment to safeguarding, inclusion and high standards of teaching and learning
The ability to join at short notice for an immediate start
Previous international or Middle East experience would be an advantage but is not essential
