Business Teacher

Purpose of role

To deliver high-quality teaching and learning in Business Studies, inspiring students to understand key business concepts, develop analytical skills, and apply knowledge to real-world contexts.

Key responsibilities

Plan and deliver engaging Business Studies lessons aligned with the curriculum (e.g., IGCSE, A-Level, IB, or national curriculum).

Prepare lesson plans, schemes of work, and teaching materials.

Assess, record, and report on student progress and attainment.

Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all learners.

Support students in developing critical thinking, problem-solving, and entrepreneurial skills.

Contribute to curriculum development and enrichment activities (e.g., enterprise projects, business competitions).

Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment.

Communicate effectively with parents, colleagues, and leadership.

Participate in school meetings, professional development, and extracurricular activities.

Qualifications & experience

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, or a related field.

Recognized teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS, or equivalent).

Experience teaching Business Studies at secondary level (preferred).

Familiarity with international curricula (IGCSE, A-Level, IB) is an advantage.
