Newark Brewing Company is looking for a passionate individual to be part of our team. Experience is an asset but not mandatory. Training will be provided to candidates who are eager to learn and demonstrate a strong work ethic. Focusing on sourcing ingredients from local producers and creating dishes that complement the line-up of our craft beers. *Duties and responsibilities: *

• Reports directly to Head Chef

• Basic and advanced knife skills (chopping, slicing, carving)

• Use of kitchen equipment (ovens, deep fryers, range)

• Cleaning and maintaining kitchen equipment

• Washing dishes

• Opening and closing kitchen

• Preparing, storing, and executing designated dishes on the menu

• Maintaining garbage and waste

-Sweeping and mopping

-Following health and safety protocols at all times

• Must be punctual
• flexible to work evening, weekends and holidays as the need arises
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

• Attention to detail

Certifications

• Food Safe, SafeCheck, Food Handler or equivalent (preferred)

Job Types: Part-time, Seasonal

Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Beamsville, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Experience:

• Cooking: 1 year (preferred)
