Tasks:

  • Monitoring animal health.
  • Organize tasks to accomplish the work.
  • Work with honey bees.
  • Co-ordinate and supervise the work of general farm workers and harvesting labourers.
  • Ensure farm safety and bio-security procedures are followed.
  • Supervise other workers.

Supervision:

1 to 2 people.

Apiary and honey harvesting experience:

  • Apiary management.
  • Detect bee diseases .
  • Honey farm.
  • Manage a set of measures designed to protect a beekeeper's honey bees from the entry and spread of pests.
  • Oversee the honey extraction.

Equipment and machinery experience:

Forklift.

Work conditions and physical capabilities:

  • Fast-paced environment.
  • Physically demanding.
  • Combination of sitting, standing, walking.
  • Ability to work independently.
