IT Support & Laptop Technician
About Us
We are active on major e-commerce platforms in Singapore, with many years of professional experience in second-hand computers. We refurbish and sell quality business laptops, including Lenovo ThinkPad, Dell Latitude and HP EliteBook, online and from our shop at Sim Lim Square. We are moving into a bigger space and growing our team.
Job Responsibilities
- Inspect, test and grade laptops (screen, keyboard, battery, ports, storage, cooling)
- Diagnose and repair hardware and software issues
- Upgrade RAM and SSDs; replace batteries, keyboards, screens and fans
- Clean and prepare laptops for sale; install Windows and drivers; securely wipe data
- Perform final quality checks and record serial numbers and condition before items are listed or shipped
- Handle warranty checks and after-sales technical support
- Answer walk-in customers' technical questions
- Help with receiving stock, packing and dispatch daily orders
Requirements
- Nitec / Higher Nitec in IT, electronics or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- 0-3 years of laptop or PC repair experience; fresh graduates with strong hands-on skills are welcome
- Good knowledge of Windows, BIOS and hardware troubleshooting
- Careful, HONEST and organised; accurate grading matters to us
- Comfortable dealing with customers; good English required, Mandarin is a plus
- Able to occasionally lift and carry boxes or equipment of about 10-15 kg when stock arrives
- Able to work retail hours, including some weekends
