Do you want to help shape virtual test environments for autonomous robotics systems and reliably secure functions even before real-world deployment? In this position, you will develop and maintain Software-in-the-Loop simulations, create realistic test scenarios, and thus support the further development of modern robotics platforms.
As a Simulation Engineer (m/f/d) - Robotics & SiL, you will undertake the following tasks with us:
- You develop and maintain Software-in-the-Loop simulation environments for autonomous robotics systems.
- You create realistic simulation scenarios and virtual sensor models for the development and validation of autonomous functions.
- You develop automated test and validation processes and integrate them into existing CI/CD environments.
- You analyze and optimize simulation models based on test data and real-world deployment scenarios.
- You support the further development of modern simulation and test infrastructures for robotics systems.
Your qualifications:
- A completed degree in the field of Computer Science, Robotics, Mechatronics, or a comparable discipline
- Experience with robotics simulation platforms such as Gazebo, Isaac Sim, Webots, or similar environments
- Good knowledge of ROS2-based robotics systems and C++
- Experience with automated test processes, CI/CD pipelines, and Linux environments
- Knowledge of communication interfaces such as CAN, Ethernet, or TCP/UDP is an advantage
- Analytical thinking skills as well as a structured and independent way of working
- Good English skills
