Instrumentation Commissioning Supervisor

For a large-scale industrial project in the Antwerp port, we are looking for an experienced Instrumentation Commissioning Supervisor. We are specifically looking for a technically strong professional with a Bachelor or Master in Engineering and relevant experience within instrumentation and commissioning.

Your role

As an Instrumentation Commissioning Supervisor, you are responsible for the preparation, coordination, and technical follow-up of commissioning activities within instrumentation.

Your tasks include, among others:

• Coordinating and supervising commissioning activities on-site
• Following up on loop checks and functional tests
• Commissioning of field instrumentation such as transmitters, control valves, and switches
• Checking work using P&ID’s, loop diagrams, datasheets, and technical specifications
• Analyzing and resolving technical problems during commissioning
• Following up on punch items, deviations, and outstanding work
• Monitoring interfaces with DCS/PLC and other disciplines
• Directing and providing technical guidance to contractors and technicians
• Monitoring the progress and quality of the work
• Collaborating with Engineering, Construction, Automation, Process, and Operations
• Preparing systems and subsystems for start-up and handover
• You possess a Bachelor or Master in Engineering, for example Electromechanics, Electrical Engineering, Automation, or a similar field
• You have relevant experience within Instrumentation & Control and commissioning
• You preferably have experience within the (petro)chemical, oil & gas, or heavy process industry
• You have good knowledge of field instrumentation, loop checks, and functional testing
• You can work fluently with P&ID’s, loop diagrams, datasheets, and technical documentation
• You have experience with transmitters, control valves, and other measurement and control instrumentation
• Knowledge of DCS/PLC systems and ATEX is a strong asset
• You are able to provide technical direction to contractors and technicians
• You communicate fluently in English; Dutch is a plus
• A valid European work permit is necessary
