NET Recruit is proud to be partnering with a leading engineering organisation specialising in climate, HVAC and process cooling solutions in their search for an Equipment Sales Engineer . With a strong focus on efficient and sustainable technical solutions, the business supports customers across a range of industries with specialist equipment, services and project support. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially driven and technically minded Sales Engineer to develop new business, build customer relationships and grow a specialist equipment portfolio.

Your Role and Responsibilities

While in this role your duties may include but are not limited to:

  • Identifying and targeting potential customers requiring HVAC, process cooling and temperature control solutions.
  • Developing sales strategies to generate new leads and convert opportunities into successful sales.
  • Conducting market research to identify industry trends, competitor activity and new opportunities.
  • Building and maintaining a strong sales pipeline and keeping CRM records accurate and up to date.
  • Working with marketing teams to support promotional activity and generate new leads.
  • Developing strong technical knowledge of HVAC and process temperature control equipment, including process chillers, temperature control units and associated systems.
  • Providing technical guidance to customers and recommending suitable equipment, hire, rental or service solutions.
  • Conducting customer site visits and technical assessments to understand requirements and develop accurate solutions.
  • Working in accordance with RAMS and relevant QHSE requirements during customer site activities.
  • Collaborating with Engineering and Project Management teams to develop solutions in line with customer specifications.
  • Building strong relationships with new and existing customers, acting as a trusted technical and commercial contact.
  • Understanding customer requirements and providing timely solutions to support satisfaction and repeat business.
  • Providing appropriate after-sales support and coordinating with technical teams where required.
  • Preparing sales forecasts, pipeline reports and performance updates for management.
  • Providing commercial insight and recommendations to support the wider sales strategy.
  • Working towards agreed sales targets and contributing to wider business objectives.
  • Maintaining compliance with company policies, ethical standards, QHSE requirements and relevant regulations.
  • Taking responsibility for ongoing professional and technical development.

What You Will Need To Apply

Please apply ONLY if you meet the following criteria:

  • Proven experience in sales, business development or a customer-facing commercial role, ideally within HVAC, refrigeration, process cooling or a related engineering environment.
  • Experience selling technical equipment, solutions or services to commercial or industrial customers.
  • An engineering qualification or relevant practical engineering experience would be advantageous.
  • Strong technical understanding of HVAC, refrigeration, process cooling or temperature control systems.
  • Experience with process chillers, temperature control units, air handling equipment or related HVAC solutions would be beneficial.
  • A proven track record of developing customer relationships and generating new business.
  • Strong commercial awareness with a target-driven and results-focused approach.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to understand customer requirements and translate them into technical and commercial solutions.
  • Strong negotiation, influencing, problem-solving and presentation skills.
  • Experience using CRM systems and Microsoft Office.
  • A proactive and self-motivated approach, with the ability to manage your own workload and sales pipeline.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with Engineering, Project Management, Operations and Marketing teams.
  • Full driving licence and willingness to travel to customer locations.
  • Right to work in the UK.
