Architectural Technician

As the business continues to grow, they are looking for an enthusiastic Architectural Technician to join their Portsmouth-based team. Your Role and Responsibilities:

While in this position your duties may include but may not be limited to :

• Support the preparation and development of architectural drawings and technical documentation.
• Produce and amend technical drawings using AutoCAD and/or Revit.
• Assist with the development of designs from concept through to detailed technical stages.
• Work closely with architects, technicians, engineers and other project stakeholders.
• Ensure drawings and technical documentation meet relevant standards, regulations and project requirements.
• Update drawings and documentation in response to project changes, feedback and technical requirements.
• Assist with the preparation of specifications, schedules and other project documentation.
• Review drawings to ensure accuracy, consistency and attention to detail.
• Provide general technical and project support to the wider team.
• Develop your understanding of construction methods, materials, regulations and technical detailing.
• Contribute to the successful delivery of projects while continuing to develop your technical and professional skills.

What You Will Need to Apply:

• A relevant qualification in Architectural Technology, Architecture or a related discipline.
• Some knowledge or experience using AutoCAD and/or Revit.
• A genuine interest in architectural design, technical drawing and construction.
• Good attention to detail and a methodical approach to your work.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• A proactive attitude and willingness to learn and develop new technical skills.
• The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a wider team.
• A genuine desire to build a long-term career within the architectural and technical design sector .
