A day in the life of...

• Lead Packaging Equipment Development & Standardization in order to support projects in Filling & Packing Technologies, in cooperation with all PTC/R&D related groups, markets and in coordination with key machinery suppliers
• This includes the definition of overall equipment specifications and performances, the development of new Filling & Packing machines or packaging system concepts, including product and packaging material interfaces (Standards Owners)
• Develop standards for Filling & Packing Machine in line with LEAN design and TPM methodology
• Deliver new innovative engineering solutions to business and marktes to meet sustainability roadmaps and to support business needs
• Define Packaging Machine specifications and evaluate supplier technical data and specifications. Conduct value analysis; identify and recommend cost improvements and source reduction opportunities
• Initiate (or participate in) DMAIC exercises related to packaging lines
• Guardian of packaging equipment standards in the factory lines
• Coordinate and interact with key suppliers on packaging machine projects: from User Requirement Specification to machine fabrication, test and installation.
• Conduct in-house or external trials to test / validate performances of developed packaging machine.
• Assist factories in the commissioning of new packaging machine.
• Extend start up assistance for packaging machine related issues: machine performance, efficiency, material losses, training, autonomous maintenance etc.

Key Experiences

• Graduate in Engineering, preferably in Packaging, Mechanics, Mechatronics, Industrial, or Automation Operational Experience
• Operations experience in Filling & Packing (minimum 10 years)
