The Senior Circularity Specialist at Neste is responsible for end-to-end management of waste catalysts, ensuring correct classification, handling, permitting, and transport.

We are looking for you, Senior Circularity Specialist to our Environment and quality management team within Oil Products. In this position, you will manage, lead, and actively develop the end-to-end process for waste catalysts, taking practical operational responsibility for transfrontier waste shipment permitting. As our waste legislation expert, you will ensure compliance for waste-classified materials and guide the organization through evolving environmental requirements.
The role calls for skilled navigation of digital management systems in daily operations and coordinating seamlessly with internal and external stakeholders globally. This tactical role is essential for ensuring that core logistics and compliance duties are executed accurately and on schedule.
In the Environment and quality management team we work together with production and other key stakeholders to assure effective management systems and compliance. Together with your expertise, we can do meaningful work to drive Neste forward.

Your role in our team
End-to-end waste catalyst management: Taking full operational responsibility for the waste catalyst process; ensuring that materials are correctly classified, handled, permitted, and transported on schedule and to the correct locations.
Permits & regulation: Managing waste transfer permits and providing practical guidance on waste legislation and regulations.
Proactive stakeholder collaboration: Actively guiding, coordinating, and collaborating with authorities, transport companies, waste treatment facilities, and internal production teams to ensure smooth workflows and prevent bottlenecks.
System & data management: Daily hands-on work with various reporting and logistics systems (e.g., TFS, DIWASS, Blackline, SAP) to maintain compliance and traceability
Keys to success in this role
Master’s/Bachelor's degree in engineering, environmental science, chemistry or related discipline.
Strong understanding and proven track record of waste and waste shipment legislation and international waste transfers.
Knowledge of logistics, including ADR (VAK) regulations and classifications.
Excellent operational coordination and communication skills with diverse stakeholders
Capability to work both in English and Finnish
Willingness and capability to develop current ways of working
Responsible attitude and safety-oriented mindset.
Other strengths we value
Proficiency in systems such as TFS, DIWASS, Blackline, and SAP
Familiarity with chemicals and chemical legislation.
Previous work experience from similar relevant field, for example waste handling, logistics and/or waste permitting
Cooperative attitude and ability to get things done in an industrial environment
