We are looking for you,

Engineering Manager, Partnerships Management

to join our Engineering organisation in Porvoo, Finland. We work at the office at least three days a week to ensure seamless teamwork and a sense of belonging.

As part of the Neste strategy to grow our renewable fuels business, a series of strategic investment projects will be executed during the coming years. Engineering is the backbone of our investment strategy, ensuring our projects are technically robust and efficient. We drive continuous improvements for our way of working, personnel and partner network. We are looking for an Engineering Manager to lead the next phase of improving our global partnerships and expanding the focus from the previous Finland centric to a fully global level. We are building our partnership strategies on clear, measurable data to ensure our decision-making stays transparent and measurable.

This unique role integrates three core elements: Partnerships & performance management, Data analytics and Engineering & EPCM projects. We expect candidates to excel in one or two of these core elements, while bringing a strong interest and drive to develop in the remaining elements. Together with your expertise, we can do meaningful work to drive Neste forward.

Your role in our team

Drive the strategic development and implementation of engineering partnerships and partner performance management.

Manage partnerships from an operational perspective on a global level.

Take the lead on our data-driven performance management, analyzing demand forecasts, project data and partnership metrics to plan work allocation, uncover trends, reduce risk and optimize efficiency.

Develop and implement new performance management practices and frameworks within the global engineering function.

You will report to the Head of Engineering. Work will be done in close cooperation with the whole Neste Investment Project and Governance organisation as well as key stakeholders across the global Neste group.

The best combination to success in this role

Advanced capabilities in at least one or two of our core role elements: Partnerships management, Data analytics and Engineering & EPCM projects, with a demonstrated drive to learn the others:

Solid understanding of partnership management and operational performance, including business development, within global engineering environments.

Solid experience and proof of successful performance in managing engineering and projects in the energy sector and process industry.

Ability to work flexibly with data, translating complex operational metrics into strategic guidance for the business.

Strong drive to develop and implement new performance management practices and frameworks within an engineering function.

Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing in English.

MSc (or BSc) in Engineering, or other relevant education.

A pragmatic attitude and resilience to truly drive development initiatives forward while keeping the team engaged will be critical in this position.
