Responsibilities and assignments

➡️How will your day-to-day be? You will be responsible for developing action plans for KPI reduction, meeting the metallurgical, dimensional, and functional specifications of the products, in addition to keeping quality documents updated, leading and defining product improvements with team support, performing critical analysis of the process, equipment, and tooling, aiming at cost reduction, increased productivity, and business sustainability.

➡️Your main challenges will be:

• Integrating with other relationship/work areas; maintaining good professional relationships; self-developing and promoting the development of others;
• Defining HPDC process parameters for product production within the specified metallurgical and dimensional criteria;
• Providing technical assistance to the factory in the analysis of operational failures of the tooling/process/machine and proposing solutions to eliminate the causes (AXIS, Strategic Alignment);
• Monitoring quality indicators (Scrap and internal/external product rework; Customer complaints);
• Defining and managing short/medium-term improvement actions to achieve established goals (budget and targets);
• Supporting the Maintenance, Tooling, and Operation sectors in the definitions and validations of action plans to achieve established budget and target goals (weekly quality meetings, MTM, Customer complaints);
• Managing tests and improvements aiming at scrap and rework reduction to achieve targets, process optimization for cost reduction and increased productivity; Technical feasibility analysis (adequacy of the production process and tooling specification) and coordination of budget preparation with the involved areas;
• Reconciling profitability and technological adequacy to customer requirements, aiming to ensure NEMAK's competitiveness; Perform risk analysis, record documentation via SoftExpert system (PAP3, PDP, test and extension OS's).
• Ensuring that the revision/update flow of tooling projects takes place;
• Preparation and maintenance of all technical documentation (flowchart/FMEA/control plan - SoftExpert, technical specifications, APQP requirements); Define and manage short/medium-term improvement actions to achieve established goals; Act as the technical interface with the customer aiming to align expectations and technical specifications, seeking to meet needs and proposing solutions for problems related to the products under your responsibility;

Requirements and qualifications

➡️ We are looking for a professional with:

• Completed or ongoing Technologist/Higher education in Engineering, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Automation, Production, or equivalent areas;
• Intermediate English;
• Knowledge of the casting production process;
• Reading and interpretation of technical drawings;
• Experience in DCM's Buhler, Idra, Itralpresse, LK, and others is a plus.
