About the job
About the company
Do you want to be part of developing the production of the future in a company where decision paths are short, the technical level is high, and improvement work is ongoing every day?
NOTE Herrljunga is part of the NOTE Group, one of Northern Europe's leading electronics producers. The facility in Herrljunga has over 60 years of experience in electronics production and today delivers advanced solutions within, among other things, industry, medical technology, communication, and green tech. Here, everything from circuit boards to complete products is manufactured, and the business works closely with customers throughout the entire product lifecycle.
In Herrljunga, approximately 40 employees work in a family-like and committed organization where everyone makes a difference. Now we are looking for a production technician who wants to be part of developing efficient flows, improving working methods, and creating the conditions for a modern and competitive production.
Job description
As a production technician, you will have a broad and varied role where you work closely with the operations and become an important part of the work to create smart, safe, and efficient flows – with a focus on quality, work environment, and solutions that work in everyday life.
A large part of the initial focus lies on pre- and post-calculations, time studies, and improvement work. You will look at how work is done today, follow up on time and flows, and find opportunities to simplify, clarify, and develop working methods together with the colleagues on site.
Examples of tasks:
- Conduct time studies as well as work with pre- and post-calculations related to production and repair
- Develop and streamline production, logistics, and repair flows
- Drive and participate in improvement work according to, for example, Lean and 5S
- Contribute to smart working methods with a focus on quality, ergonomics, and the work environment
- Participate in prototypes, pre-series, and the introduction of new or changed products
- Handle product changes and update documentation, articles, structures, and preparations
- Follow up and analyze statistics related to production and repair
- Create instructions, working methods, and support that helps colleagues in production and the repair flow
- Participate in investments and the introduction of new aids, equipment, and flows
- Collaborate closely with production, quality, logistics, repair/service, and customer projects
Qualifications
We are looking for you who have experience in production technology, industrial development, or similar work within manufacturing industry. You thrive close to the operations, like to understand how things work in practice, and have a natural drive to improve, simplify, and create clarity.
You do not need to have experience from the electronics industry, but you need to have a good understanding of production flows and feel comfortable switching between analysis, documentation, system work, and practical improvement work out in the operations.
We believe you have:
- Experience of production technical work within manufacturing industry
- Knowledge of pre-calculations, post-calculations, and time studies
- Experience of improvement work, Lean, or 5S
- Ability to analyze flows, working methods, and statistics – and translate them into practical improvements
- Understanding of how work environment, ergonomics, and quality are linked to efficient processes
- Post-secondary education in technology or equivalent experience
- Confident in English, both spoken and written
To thrive in the role, we see that you are proactive, curious, and action-oriented. You like to collaborate with others, but also dare to drive issues forward on your own. Above all, we are looking for a non-prestigous person who wants to develop together with the business, learn from colleagues, and make use of the competence that already exists in the house.
What do we offer you?
At NOTE Herrljunga, you will become part of a technology-oriented operation where you get great influence and the opportunity to make an impact. You will enter an organization with high ambitions, where much development work is ongoing and where your ideas and initiatives are valued. The role offers a varied everyday life with both operational and strategic elements, close collaboration with colleagues, and the opportunity to contribute to the company's continued development. You are also offered flexible working hours, wellness allowance, and a workplace where community, lack of prestige, and commitment are important parts of the culture.
