Category Manager to NCC Industry This role is suitable for you who have experience as a Category Manager or from a similar strategic procurement role, and who are motivated by taking clear and independent responsibility for category work and supplier relations in an organization with high requirements for business understanding and structure. As Category Manager, you are responsible for ensuring that category strategies are developed, anchored, and followed up in the organization in line with NCC's strategic direction. You lead the category work from analysis and strategy formulation to implementation and follow-up, and are responsible for ensuring that established working methods and framework agreements are utilized and complied with within your category area. The role involves clear ownership of supplier work and Supplier Relationship Management, including responsibility for supplier assessments, negotiations, risk management, and follow-up of savings, KPIs, and supplier performance. The position combines a strategic perspective with close collaboration with the business and requires that you can work independently with analysis, prioritization, and the translation of insight into good decisions. You collaborate with other procurement functions as well as internal and external stakeholders, and contribute to developing long-term competitive supply chains. You will become part of NCC's Category Management team and report to Manager of Category Management. In the role, you lead and coordinate the category work and collaborate closely with the business units, without formal personnel responsibility. The workplace is at our head office in Oslo. Travel is included as a natural part of the position.

We are looking for you who have higher education in technical subjects, economics, business administration, or equivalent, as well as solid experience with category work and strategic procurement. You have experience with complex supply chains and combine strong analytical abilities with a good understanding of economics, risk, and results follow-up. You work independently and are used to driving processes from analysis to decision. You are confident in following up on effects and results, and have a structured and data-driven way of working. At the same time, you thrive in a role with many contact points and high requirements for collaboration. As a person, you are business-oriented and a good communicator, with the ability to influence and drive work forward without formal personnel responsibility. You are comfortable working in complex IT environments and have very good knowledge of English, both orally and in writing.
