We are seeking a dedicated Electrical Commissioning & Operations Engineer to join our elite deployment team on a critical Combined Cycle Power Project in Singapore. This is an immediate, high-impact opportunity to contribute to the final stages of construction and the pivotal commissioning phase of a state-of-the-art power generation facility, transitioning into initial operational support.

You will play a hands-on role in the energisation, functional testing, and operational readiness of high-voltage (HV) and medium-voltage (MV) electrical infrastructure, including switchgear, transformers, protection systems, and motor control centres. This assignment places you at the heart of a major Combined Cycle Power Project in Singapore. You will be engaging with the final stages of construction and the critical commissioning phase, transitioning into initial operational support for a state-of-the-art power generation facility.

Working closely with senior lead engineers, you will contribute directly to the energisation, functional testing, and operational readiness of high-voltage (HV) and medium-voltage (MV) switchgear, transformers, protection systems, motor control centres, and balance of plant electrical infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities & Deliverables

• Execute electrical pre-commissioning, functional testing, and commissioning activities for HV/MV switchgear, transformers, protection relays, and plant electrical systems under the guidance of site discipline leads.
• Support energisation sequences, loop checking, interlock verification, and diagnostic testing during plant start-up.
• Carry out fault finding, troubleshooting, and punch-list clearing for electrical equipment across the facility.
• Maintain accurate commissioning logs, record test parameters, and prepare complete handover documentation in line with project quality standards.
• Collaborate with EPC client teams and subcontractors on daily site testing schedules and interface requirements.
• Strictly follow site safety rules, Permit to Work (PTW), and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures at all times.

Requirements & Qualifications

Essential:

• Education: Degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) / advanced trade apprenticeship in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Certifications: Valid Safety Certifications for industrial sites (e.g., WSH, PTW, LOTO awareness). High Voltage (HV) safety training or Competent Person exposure is highly regarded.
• Experience: 4 - 7+ years of hands-on electrical testing, commissioning, or maintenance experience on industrial, power plant, or heavy utility projects.
• Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with MV/HV switchgear (11kV to 66kV+), power transformers, motor control centres (MCCs), and protection relay testing (e.g., Siemens, ABB, GE).

Desirable / Advantageous:

• Exposure to Combined Cycle Power Plants (CCPP) or large-scale rotating equipment (GT/ST generators).
• Familiarity with electrical integration into DCS/SCADA control systems.
• Knowledge of relevant international electrical standards (IEC, IEEE).

Package, Location & Mobilisation Terms

• Location: Singapore (specific project site details provided upon application).
• Working Arrangement: Site-based, standard day shifts (5/2 schedule), with availability for extended hours during peak energisation phases.
• Rate / Remuneration: Highly competitive market day rate (Outside IR35 / negotiable based on experience and background).
• Allowances: Travel, accommodation, and living support provided where applicable for non-local hires.
• Start Date & Duration: Immediate start, estimated contract duration of 5 - 6 months.
