Android Engineer

JOB SUMMARY :

We are looking for an experienced Android Engineer to design, build, and maintain high-quality native Android applications. You will work closely with design, backend, and QA teams to translate product requirements into performant, reliable, and delightful mobile experiences, while championing engineering best practices across the Android codebase.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Develop and maintain native Android applications using Kotlin and Jetpack components
• Translate UX/UI designs into responsive, pixel-accurate, and accessible interfaces
• Architect app modules using MVVM/Clean Architecture and modern dependency injection (Hilt/Dagger)
• Integrate RESTful APIs, manage local data persistence (Room, DataStore), and handle offline scenarios
• Profile and optimize app performance, memory usage, battery consumption, and startup time
• Write unit and UI tests to ensure code reliability and prevent regressions
• Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and sprint planning to uphold engineering standards
• Manage app releases, versioning, and monitoring through the Google Play Console
• Investigate and resolve production crashes and ANRs using crash-reporting tools
• Stay current with Android platform updates, Jetpack Compose, and industry best practices

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS :

• 5+ years of professional native Android development experience
• Strong proficiency in Kotlin and Jetpack components (Navigation, ViewModel, LiveData/Flow, Room)
• Hands-on experience with MVVM/Clean Architecture and dependency injection (Hilt/Dagger)
• Solid understanding of RESTful APIs, JSON serialization, and third-party SDK integration
• Experience with Play Store submission, release management, and app signing
• Familiarity with Git-based workflows and CI/CD pipelines for mobile
• Working knowledge of unit testing and UI testing frameworks (JUnit, Espresso)
• Good written and verbal communication skills in English

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS :

• Experience with Jetpack Compose
• Exposure to multi-module app architecture and modularization
• Familiarity with performance profiling tools (Android Profiler, LeakCanary)
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams
• Huawei HMS / HarmonyOS Android Auto and Wearables
