SUPERVISORY PROGRAM MANAGER

You will serve as a SUPERVISORY PROGRAM MANAGER in the Operations Department; N3 of NAVAL SPECIAL WARFARE GROUP EIGHT.

Major duties

• You will plan, develop, coordinate, and implement special operations plans, policies, and strategies that have national level implications.
• You will lead coordination efforts with higher headquarters and interagency partners to produce strategic guidance and formal documents, such as two-to-five year campaign plans.
• You will leverage an expert knowledge of joint planning doctrine to direct the review and analysis of all operational and conceptual plans involving NSWG-8 forces.
• You will provide authoritative advice and recommendations to key leaders and distinguished visitors on sensitive operational plans, policies, and doctrine, often influencing decisions that directly impact national military policy.
• You will be responsible for translating strategic operational priorities into executable, resourced plans.
• You will involve establishing guidance for subordinate commands, prioritizing and validating their budget requests and unfunded requirements, and making authoritative recommendations to the command's Comptroller for final allocation.
• You will have the authority to approve certain operational expenses and realign resources to meet emergent, time-sensitive mission requirements, keeping senior leadership appraised of significant deviations from the financial plan.
• You will direct a large, complex, and diverse workforce of over 80 personnel, comprised of a mixed team of senior commissioned officers (up to O-5), senior enlisted personnel, and high-grade civil servants (up to GS-14).
• You will direct the recruitment and selection process for key vacancies and makes authoritative recommendations for the selection of subordinate leaders and high-grade staff.
• You will responsible for identifying and providing for the broad developmental and training needs of the directorate to build and sustain a high-performing, expert workforce.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-14 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Directing multi-functional directorates in operational planning, concept development, and Command and Control (C2); maneuvering operational units executing sensitive, complex missions in alignment with national strategic objectives; coordinating the execution of operations, activities, and/or investments in multiple theaters, up and down the chain of command across operational headquarters.
