DEPUTY OFFICER IN CHARGE

Major duties

• You will provide oversight and participate substantially in SQT course development, curriculum research, tactics, techniques and procedures development, and training execution and course modification.
• You will participate substantially in SQT course development and/or course management.
• You will be a qualified SEAL instructor capable of providing guidance and instruction while evaluating instructor performance.
• You will monitor instructor behaviors to ensure they properly reflect NSW and SEAL ethics and are fully aligned with the best interests of the learners and the NSW community.
• You will ensure all presentations, demonstrations, and field training instruction is/are consistently clear, accurate, and complete.
• You will perform checks on personnel and equipment for all diving operations and be on scene during SQT combat swimmer training.

Qualifications

Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Developing, planning, organizing, administering, and evaluating policy, instruction; and creating, executing and overseeing of budgets in support of training requirements. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. Desired Skills: Possessing extensive Special Operations Forces (SOF) experience, specifically with Naval Special Warfare (NSW) organizations, operations, capabilities, environments, and coordinating, monitoring, and assisting Leadership, Operations and Training Officers with student and curriculum development, continuous assessment of functions and tasks, and providing training contingency and planning expertise.
