SUPERVISOR QUALITY ASSURANCE SPEC (SHIPBUILDING)
You will serve as a Supervisory Quality Assurance Specialist (Shipbuilding) in the Quality Assurance Department of SUPERVISOR OF SHIPBUILDING GROTON.
Major duties
- You will assign audits, procedure reviews, procedure evaluations, and surveillance of processes and programs.
- You will establish priorities and schedules for accomplishing tasks and achieving goals within the Division.
- You will coordinate, direct and evaluate the work performance of subordinate employees.
- You will identify training needs of subordinates in QA, shipbuilding technologies, and special qualification or certification areas such as non-destructive testing.
- You will analyze surveillance, audit, and project findings and reports.
- You will evaluate the scope, direction, and results of new and existing Contractor and SSGR programs to ensure overall goals are being achieved.
- You will perform special audits and studies of processes or products.
- You will obtain training, qualifications, and certifications in specialized areas as appropriate.
- You will plan and conduct effective measurements of contractor’s systems or products to prepare reports and findings for conditions and trends.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NH-02 (GS-11 equivalency) pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Assisting with the planning or directing work to solve shipbuilding production or quality assurance problems with construction, conversions or repair for ship or submarines.
