Supervisory Security Guard
You will serve as a Supervisory Security Guard in the Physical Security Branch of the Security Division, Commands Operations Department of FLTREADCEN SOUTHEAST.
Major duties
- You will plan work to be accomplished by subordinates, set and adjust short-term priorities, and prepare schedules for completion of work.
- You will enforce security measures required to protect personnel, materials, and property against accidental or deliberate injury, damage, fire, theft, acts of sabotage and espionage, and other disreputable acts.
- You will assign work to subordinates based on priorities, selective consideration of the difficulty and requirements of assignments, and the capabilities of employees.
- You will perform guard services on permanent or rotating shifts, responsible to ensure security of FRCSE facilities, equipment and material.
- You will respond to alarms, suspicious activity, disturbances, or emergencies by initiating appropriate actions, contacting authorities, and documenting incidents.
- You will ensure visitors have proper escort, if appropriate, prior to admittance, and inspect vehicles entering and departing FRCSE.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing some or all of the following duties: 1) Leading or supervising security guard operations in a 24-hour, 7-day-a-week rotating-shift environment; 2) Directing physical security, force protection, and access control operations; ensuring compliance with security regulations, post orders, and established procedures; 3) Protecting personnel and government property, controlling the movement of personnel and vehicles; and supporting emergency response requirements; 4) Assigning and prioritizing work based on mission requirements and employee capabilities and maintaining adequate staffing and security coverage; 5) Providing technical and administrative guidance to employees, addressing employee performance or conduct matters; 6) Exercising independent judgment to resolve complex operational, personnel, or security-related issues while maintaining continuity of security operations.
