F-35 LIGHTNING PROGRAM - LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST
You will function as a Logistics Management Specialist within the NAWCAD Mission Systems Group, and Logistics Management Department, and supporting the Joint Fighter Program Office (JSFPO) in Arlington, VA.
Major duties
- You will act as the single authority on program/project logistics/product and maintenance planning and execution for program reviews, contract reviews, briefing, budget hearing, etc.
- You will establish and maintain contact with personnel and high-level officials throughout the fleet, field, and NAVAIR; and other SYSCOM’s and military departments; at higher Navy Levels; and at contractors’ plants and offices.
- You will interface with internal and external contacts in order to exchange information, develop or interpret requirements, enforce adherence to policies and specifications, and negotiate approval of suggestions and requests.
- You will ensure milestones are met as well as identifying deficiencies to make necessary adjustment in support of assigned program.
- You will accomplish other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-11/12) or pay band (DS-04) in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Examples of specialized experience include: 1) Applying working knowledge of the theories and principles of life cycle logistics management and of maintenance processes for the product support and development of major aviation systems; 2) Overseeing the planning, analysis, and execution necessary to create and establish aviation integration supportability policies and procedures; 3) Managing project requirements, objectives and metrics, and resolving conflicts among schedules, funding, and resources; 4) Identifying opportunities to incorporate process improvements and best practices utilizing customer feedback, internal and external audits, self-assessment, and lessons learned activities; and 5) Advising management and colleagues on difficult problems, conducting special studies, proposing options and alternatives, and representing the organization.
