AIRCRAFT OVERHAUL & REPAIR SUPV I

You will serve as an Aircraft Overhaul & Repair Supervisor I in the Fleet Readiness Center Southeast of FLTREADCEN SOUTHEAST.

Major duties

• You will execute business philosophy and communicates them to team members.
• You will perform risk analysis and develops contingency plans on all major decisions.
• You will develop staffing requirements based on analysis of scheduled workload, projected overtime, attrition, and cross-training opportunities.

The Screen-out Element for this position is: Ability to do the work of the position without more than normal supervision performing duties such as: 1) Perform overhaul and repairs on aircraft engines, hydro mechanical fuel control systems for afterburners, jet engines, and turbine powered systems; heating-refrigeration and aircraft compressors; servo hydraulic systems; 2) Plan daily / weekly sequence of work operations for subordinates, interprets blueprints and prepares layouts and sketches as necessary; 3) Coordinates work of his unit with that of other units where required, monitor the quality aspect of the work of artisans under his/her control by ensuring all work is inspected in the proper sequence; 4) Determine priorities and assignment of work to be done by subordinates. Resolve working problems; and takes action to overcome bottlenecks, equipment breakdowns, material shortages and other causes of delay and inefficiency, 5) facilitating production using judgment and analysis in areas such as determining work time, preparing and implementing procedures, detecting bottlenecks, making and interpreting reports, keeping records, interpreting technical data, and making computations. I am considered an expert and work with a high degree of independence.
