POSITION DESCRIPTION

  • METT Mobile Education Training Team: Program Coordination & Logistics: Primary coordinator managing end-to-end administrative and logistical requirements for off-site training missions.
  • Stakeholder & Schedule Coordination: Facilitates scheduling and training delivery across remote locations with NSO course directors, academic staff, and 500+ external POCs.
  • Resource & Travel Validation: Secures and validates classroom facilities, instructional equipment, travel plans, and mission resources.
  • Staff Actions & Correspondence: Drafts, reviews, and tracks official staff correspondence to ensure compliance with mission requirements.
  • Student Records Lifecycle: Manages student registration and maintains institutional database records, executing corrective actions as needed.
  • Reporting & Metrics: Generates statistical reports on student attendance, demographics, and program metrics for leadership review.
  • Advisory & Issue Resolution: Acts as the primary POC for hosts and students, providing policy guidance and resolving procedural issues.
  • Staff & Office Support: Delivers general clerical and administrative support to maintain efficient daily office operations.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • English language skills at level B2 according to the European Reference Framework
  • Class B driver's license necessary
  • Experience in using common software/IT systems as well as in general office tasks
  • Frequent business travel
  • Work in the evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Citizenship of a NATO member state
  • Obtaining and maintaining a NATO Secret security clearance

ABOUT US:

The NATO School Oberammergau in southern Germany is the most important training center for NATO at the operational level. The school began in 1953 with two courses and today offers members and partners of the Alliance over 100 different courses on topics related to NATO politics, strategies, missions, and operations.

The school conducts multinational military training and education as well as individual training to support current and evolving NATO operations, strategies, policies, doctrines, and procedures. This includes cooperation, dialogue, and information exchange as well as training and education with military and civilian personnel from non-NATO countries. Every year, more than 10,000 participants and conference attendees visit the school.

Since 1953, more than 200,000 officers, non-commissioned officers, and civilians have participated in courses at the school. Approximately 12,000 students and conference participants visit the school annually.
