Position : Part-time, Seasonal Employee Pay: $15.00 per hour

Job Requirements :

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be able to pass a level two background screening
• Must have a valid driver's license or state issued ID card
• Health Information and Portability Act (HIPAA) certified (provided)
• Florida Department of Children and Families (DCF) Identifying, and Reporting Child Abuse and Neglect certified (provided)
• Proficient in basic computer skills
• Must adhere to National Flight Academy's grooming and uniform standards at all times.

Job Description:

National Flight Academy (NFA) is seeking individuals to serve as Flight Leads—acting in the capacity of camp counselors at an aviation-based STEM camp. This role involves immersive role-play as U.S. Navy personnel aboard the simulated aircraft carrier USS AMBITION (CVT 11), located at National Flight Academy aboard Naval Air Station Pensacola. Flight Leads serve as mentors and counselors to NFA program attendees, supervising squadrons of 12–14 youth participants and ensuring their health and safety. Responsibilities include leading assigned squadrons through daily program activities, coordinating Port Calls (off-ship excursions/field trips), facilitating team-building exercises, assisting instructors with mission instruction and flight planning, supporting the execution of all flight missions, and performing other duties as assigned.

Work Environment:

The work location is National Flight Academy facility on Naval Air Station Pensacola, Pensacola, FL. Employees will primarily work indoors in dimly lit, air-conditioned settings within an educational gaming/classroom environment, with some outdoor activities. Work includes extended periods of computer screen monitoring and technology use.

Appearance and Grooming Standards:

To maintain a professional image and uphold organizational standards, all employees must adhere to the following grooming requirements.

For Male Employees:

• Earrings are not permitted while in duty uniform.
• Facial hair must be neatly groomed and trimmed and should complement the duty uniform.
• Hair must not touch the collar and must be styled in a manner that clears the collar of the uniform.

For Female Employees:

• Hair must not touch the collar and must be secured in a bun or ponytail that clears the collar of the uniform. Additional note: Hair should be neat and professional at all times, avoiding extreme styles or colors.
• Only one earring per ear is permitted, and it must be a stud-style earring. Hoops or dangling earrings are not allowed.
• Fingernails must be of a color that complements the uniform and no longer than 1/4 inch in length. Flashy colors or designs are not permitted.

General Standards:

Uniforms must be clean, pressed, and worn in accordance with organizational guidelines. Personal hygiene must be maintained at all times
