This position is at the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA) in the Eastern, Southern and Western regions. This position serves as a Supervisory Credit Union Examiner.

Major duties

As a Supervisory Credit Union Examiner, you will be responsible for: Supervising the activities of a group of geographically dispersed credit union examiners. Interpreting and applying credit union laws, regulations, policies, standards, or procedures to specific issues. Reviewing examination reports prepared by assigned staff for technical problem areas. Identifying employee training needs and development and assuring that resources are made available for development and training needs. Conducting program evaluations to ensure consistent application of policy guidance, practices, procedures, and examination priorities.

Qualifications

Specialized experience is the experience that has equipped you with the specific knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled. To qualify at the CU-15 level, you must have one full year of specialized experience equivalent to the CU/GS-14 level in federal service (obtained in either the public or private sectors). This experience must include one (1) of the following activities: reviewing the quality of financial institution examinations; or examining complex or troubled financial institutions; or writing supervisory guidance for financial institution related issues at the national level; AND 2. reviewing, leading teams, or providing feedback on other financial institution examiners concerning examining procedures; AND 3. ensuring that organizational work products are completed within established deadlines.
