HEALTHCARE WORKER I. TYPE - SPECIALIZATION IN SCHOOL AND ADOLESCENT MEDICINE (M/F)

A healthcare worker I. type performs the following tasks:

1. performs all professional tasks within the scope of the corresponding organizational unit up to the level and according to the principles of the acquired education,
2. prepares offers and implements public health programs,
3. cooperates with service users,
4. participates in the implementation of health protection (e.g., supervision, analysis, diagnostics, and screenings),
5. conducts education and assessment of health status and environmental status,
6. participates in professional and scientific projects and special research,
7. maintains records in electronic and written form,
8. maintains records of performed work, prepares weekly, monthly, and annual reports as well as any reports requested by competent services,
9. coordinates mentorship in the department, monitors trainees, participates in the education of students and pupils,
10. participates in public health scientific research as needed,
11. manages health projects of interest to the local population,
12. collects material for laboratory and other examinations,
13. cooperates with employees of other organizational units,
14. bills services and maintains records thereof,
15. writes findings,
16. performs other tasks of their job position by order of the manager.

Based on Art. 25 of the Statute of the Nastavni zavod za javno zdravstvo Primorsko-goranske županije, the written decision of the Ministarstvo zdravstva on the acceptance of the proposal for the Plan of specializations and sub-specializations for 2026, KLASA: 131-01/25-01/210, URBROJ: 534-10-1/2-26-03 from 30.06.2026, the provisions of the Zakon o zdravstvenoj zaštiti (NN 100/18, 125/19, 147/20, 119/22, 156/22, 33/23, 36/24, 102/25) and the provisions of the Pravilnik o mjerilima za prijam specijalizanata (NN 83/15) (hereinafter: the Pravilnik), the director of Nastavni zavod za javno zdravstvo Primorsko-goranske županije announces a COMPETITION for referring doctors of medicine to specialization. The Competition is announced for referring doctors of medicine to specialization in:

1. school and adolescent medicine – one (1) specialization.

General conditions that the applicant must meet are:

• healthcare worker with completed integrated undergraduate and graduate studies in a health orientation
• permit for independent work

Special conditions:

• IT literacy,
• knowledge of one foreign language,
• permit for independent work

Applicants are required to attach a CV and the following documentation with their application:

• a copy of the diploma from the Medicinski fakultet;
• a copy of the permit for independent work;
• a copy of the transcript of exams passed during studies;
• a copy of the certificate of general grade point average during studies, as well as the duration of studies;
• a copy of awards during studies;
• a copy of the certificate of status of postgraduate doctoral studies;
• a list of published works and copies of works;
• a copy of the employment contract if the applicant worked in primary health care;
• a copy of the employment contract if the applicant worked in a hospital health institution;
• an electronic record from the Hrvatski zavod za mirovinsko osiguranje not older than 30 days from the date of publication of the competition;
• a copy of the certificate that no proceedings are being conducted against the applicant pursuant to paragraph 1 of Article 156 of the Zakon o zdravstvenoj zaštiti.

In accordance with Directive (EU) 2023/970 on pay transparency, information about the salary is published. The gross salary for the position of "Healthcare worker I. type" ranges from 2,800.00 – 3,300.00 EUR gross. The gross salary is determined by applying the job coefficient and the valid base for salary calculation in public services (155/23), the Zakon o plaćama u državnim i javnim službama (NN 153/23) and the Zakon o radu (NN 93/14, 127/17, 98/19, 151/22 and 64/23). Upon responding to an interview, applicants are obliged to present original documents. Untimely and incomplete applications will not be considered. The competition procedure and selection of applicants will be carried out in accordance with the rules set out in the Pravilnik o mjerilima za prijam specijalizanata. Written applications for the competition with other documentation are to be submitted within 15 days from the date of publication of the competition to the address: Nastavni zavod za javno zdravstvo Primorsko-goranske županije, Krešimirova 52 a, 51 000 Rijeka, with the note: „Natječaj za specijalizacije“. Nastavni zavod za javno zdravstvo Primorsko-goranske županije reserves the right to additional testing in the selection process (e.g., psychological testing). If an applicant does not respond to testing, they will be considered to have withdrawn from the competition. Applicants will be informed of the selection result in accordance with the provisions of the Pravilnik o mjerilima za prijam specijalizanata. Persons of both sexes may apply to the competition in accordance with the provisions of the Zakon o ravnopravnosti spolova (NN 82/08, 69/17). In the application for the Competition, the applicant must mandatory state the name of the specialization for which they are applying, personal data: name and surname, date and place of birth, residential address, telephone and/or mobile number, e-mail address, and all requested attachments. By applying for the competition, applicants give consent for their personal data to be processed only to the extent and only for the purpose of conducting the competition, by authorized persons for the conduct of the competition, i.e., they give consent for the collection and processing of their personal data stated in the application for the Competition and submitted documentation, as well as for the publication of notices/lists of applicants/lists of results/decisions on notice boards and the institution's website. Applicants are obliged in the application to state a code under which their personal data will be processed and published, otherwise they are obliged to submit in the competition documentation a signed personal statement giving consent that their personal data (name and surname) may be publicly published for the purpose of conducting the competition procedure. Nastavni zavod za javno zdravstvo Primorsko-goranske županije processes the submitted data of the applicant in accordance with the provisions of positive regulations governing the protection of personal data. An applicant/candidate who exercises the right of priority in employment based on special regulations is obliged in the application for the competition to refer to that right and, subject to the submission of appropriate documentation, has priority over other candidates only under equal conditions. An applicant/candidate who refers to the right of priority in employment in accordance with the provision of Article 48.f. of the Zakon o zaštiti vojnih i civilnih invalida rata (NN 33/92, 57/92, 77/92, 27/93, 58/93, 2/94, 76/94, 108/95, 108/96, 82/01, 103/03, 148/13, 98/19), is obliged, besides the proof of fulfillment of the required conditions, to attach a decision or certificate from which the mentioned right is visible.
