About the Role
We are looking for an experienced MOE Teacher / Educator to join our private school as a Teacher Trainer. The successful candidate will play an important role in developing and mentoring our early-career teachers in their day-to-day teaching, helping them build the practical teaching skills, classroom confidence and professional standards required to teach Primary and Secondary level students.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct training and orientation programmes for early-career teachers.
- Mentor and coach early-career teachers in their day-to-day teaching
- Guide teachers on lesson planning, classroom management and student engagement.
- Share practical teaching methodologies and classroom strategies based on experience in Singapore schools.
- Train teachers on handling different student abilities, learning styles and classroom situations.
- Provide guidance on assessment, examinations, marking and giving constructive feedback to students.
- Observe lessons and provide constructive feedback to teachers.
- Help early-career teachers develop confidence and professionalism in managing students and parents.
- Advise teachers on appropriate teaching approaches for Primary and Secondary students.
- Develop simple teaching resources, training materials and best-practice guidelines where required.
- Work closely with the Academic Management team to identify areas for teacher development.
- Provide ongoing coaching and support to teachers during their period of employment.
- Any other relevant duties
Requirements
- MOE teacher or experienced Singapore educator preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of teaching experience in Singapore schools or equivalent educational experience.
- Strong understanding of Primary and/or Secondary education in Singapore.
- Experience in mentoring, supervising or training junior teachers is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of classroom management and student development.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patient, approachable and able to mentor early-career teachers effectively.
- Passionate about sharing knowledge and developing the next generation of teachers.
