Your tasks

Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Chief Operating Officer role based in Lagos. The COO will oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring that business processes, systems, and teams run efficiently and align with the organization’s strategic objectives. Responsibilities include developing and implementing operational plans, leading cross-functional teams, setting performance metrics, and monitoring operational KPIs. The role will involve close collaboration with the CEO and other executives to drive business planning, financial stewardship, and sustainable growth. The COO will also be expected to identify improvement opportunities, manage risk, and foster a culture of continuous improvement and high performance.

Requirements

• Candidates should possess strong Business Planning and strategic leadership skills.
• Candidates should possess solid Operations Management capabilities for process optimization and team leadership.
• Candidates should possess advanced Analytical Skills for data-driven decision-making and performance evaluation.
• Candidates should possess Finance and Budgeting skills for managing resources, forecasting, and cost control.
• Extensive experience in senior operations or executive roles, preferably as COO or in a similar capacity.
• Proven track record of leading teams, managing complex projects, and improving operational efficiency.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Management, or a related field; an advanced degree (MBA or equivalent) is an advantage.
• Ability to work on-site in Lagos and collaborate effectively across diverse teams and functions.
