Electrical Engineer Intern

The Role As an  Electrical Engineer (Intern)  in our Product Development Engineering team, you will play a key role in supporting the design, development and testing of new integrated product components for Nanolumi’s measurement instruments. You will work with the engineering team on circuit design, PCB layout, gaining hands-on experience taking electronics from design through testing. You will: Assist with schematic capture and PCB layout for instrument electronics Support component selection, BOM preparation and design documentation Assemble and bring up prototype PCBs, including soldering and basic rework Test and troubleshoot circuits using oscilloscopes, multimeters and bench power supplies Support integration of microcontrollers, sensors, displays, and communication interfaces Record test results, document issues and help verify design changes Work closely with our firmware, optics and mechanical engineers to integrate electronics into prototypes Requirement Currently pursuing a Degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or a related discipline Basic understanding of analogue and digital electronics Familiarity with schematic capture or PCB design tools such as KiCad or equivalent Comfortable using basic electronics test equipment Willing to learn through hands-on prototyping and troubleshooting Able to communicate clearly and keep technical work organised What We Offer Meaningful work from day one — join inventors and innovators to make real impact Cross-functional learning and hands-on experience for a well-rounded startup journey A welcoming, respectful culture that supports both your professional and personal growth
