Draftsman

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Draftsman to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate engineering and fabrication drawings, interpreting technical specifications, preparing Bills of Materials (BOM), and supporting our production and fabrication teams with detailed and precise drawings. Core Responsibilities:

Read and understand complex engineering drawings. Interpret General Arrangement (GA), fabrication, and erection drawings. Prepare accurate Bill of Materials (BOM) directly from drawings. Produce detailed workshop and fabrication drawings. Make necessary revisions and modifications to existing drawings efficiently. Mandatory Software Skills:

Candidates must be proficient in both of the following software:

AutoCAD 2D: Workshop drawings Fabrication details Layouts Drawing revisions SolidWorks 3D: 3D modelling Assembly modelling Generating fabrication drawings Other Skills & Knowledge:

Knowledge of structural steel fabrication and erection processes. Basic knowledge of IS Codes, welding symbols, and engineering tolerances. Ability to take instructions and deliver drawings within specified timelines. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to work effectively with Engineering, Production, and Fabrication teams. Qualification & Experience:

Diploma/HND in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field. Relevant technical/design courses or certifications will be an advantage. Minimum 1–2 years’ experience in drafting/design. Experience in a steel fabrication/manufacturing company is preferred.

Important: Candidates must be proficient in both AutoCAD 2D and SolidWorks 3D. Practical experience in steel fabrication drawings will be highly preferred.
