Demand Planning Specialist – Naguib Selim
We are looking for a Demand Planning Specialist to join our team and support the planning and forecasting of product demand across our retail business. The role will be responsible for analyzing historical sales data, market trends, inventory levels, and business plans to develop accurate demand forecasts and support product availability while maintaining healthy inventory levels.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and maintain demand forecasts based on historical sales, current trends, and business plans.
- Analyze sales performance, inventory levels, stock availability, and product movement.
- Monitor demand versus actual sales and identify significant variances.
- Collaborate with Sales, Merchandising, Procurement, and Supply Chain teams to align demand plans.
- Support replenishment and stock planning activities to ensure product availability.
- Identify slow-moving, fast-moving, and non-performing products and provide recommendations.
- Monitor inventory levels and highlight potential overstock or stock-out risks.
- Prepare regular demand planning reports, forecasts, and performance analysis.
- Support seasonal and promotional planning by assessing expected demand.
- Continuously improve forecasting accuracy using data-driven analysis.
- Maintain accurate planning data and ensure timely updates to forecasts and reports.
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Commerce, or a related field.
2–4 years of relevant experience in Demand Planning, Supply Chain Planning, or Retail Planning.
Hands-on experience in demand forecasting and sales/inventory analysis.
Strong Excel skills.
Experience with Odoo ERP system is a plus.
Strong analytical and numerical skills.
Good understanding of inventory management and retail planning concepts.
Ability to work with large datasets and translate data into actionable insights.
Strong communication and coordination skills.
Good attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
Retail experience is highly preferred.
