About the role
We're looking for a Software Test Engineer to design and automate testing for our products, working closely with developers to ship reliable, high-quality software. You'll build test frameworks in Python, test our Flutter and JavaScript applications, own our CI/CD test pipelines, and support testing on projects that involve hardware.
Job Scope
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks and test suites, mainly in Python.
- Write and maintain automated tests for Flutter (Dart) mobile/desktop apps and JavaScript web applications.
- Create test plans and test cases from product requirements.
- Run functional, integration, UI, and regression testing, and investigate failures to find root causes.
- Build and improve CI/CD pipelines to run tests automatically on every change.
- Support testing of software that interacts with hardware devices.
- Report and track defects, and work with developers to verify fixes.
- Improve test coverage, reliability, and speed over time.
- Share testing best practices and help mentor junior team members.
Expected Requitements
Required
- Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years of experience in software testing and test automation.
- Strong Python skills, including test frameworks such as pytest.
- Experience with Dart/Flutter, including Flutter's testing tools (unit, widget, and integration tests).
- Experience with JavaScript and related test tools (e.g., Jest, Playwright, Cypress, or Selenium).
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or GitLab CI.
- Experience working on hardware-related or embedded projects.
- Good knowledge of Git and Linux.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
Nice to have
- Experience with TypeScript.
- Experience with Docker.
- Familiarity with communication protocols (e.g., serial, USB, Ethernet).
- Experience with test management tools such as Jira or TestRail.
