N3 Engine Overhaul Services (N3) is the European competence center for the maintenance and repair of Rolls-Royce Trent series engines. The joint venture of Lufthansa Technik AG and Rolls-Royce plc. is located on the outskirts of Arnstadt, in Thuringia's largest industrial area "Erfurter Kreuz". More than 1000 employees service engines for 50 international airlines on behalf of Rolls-Royce.
Check-In / Your Tasks
- Technical support for the Mechanical Manufacturing department: Planning repair work on engine parts and components, taking into account customer requirements and technical feasibility
- Defining testing methods as well as analyzing existing testing processes for the entire repair process with regard to cost, quality, and optimization potential
- Introducing and analyzing new repair processes and technologies
- Support of machines and equipment in the department
- Leading department-related process improvements
- Implementation of requirements in compliance with current guidelines and regulations, e.g., from authorities and manufacturer specifications
- Coordination of technical content with customers, suppliers, and departments
- Creation and implementation of training and technical instructions
Boarding / Your Profile
- Completed, at least 3-year university education in the field of manufacturing technology, mechanical engineering, or comparable
- Several years of professional experience in the field of machining (turning, milling, grinding)
- Knowledge of programming machine tools is desirable
- Knowledge in the field of production planning (Arbeitsvorbereitung)
- High quality awareness as well as strong customer and goal orientation
- Teamwork skills, assertiveness, and initiative
- Very good English skills
