- Management of the entire procurement process from supplier identification and request for quotation to bid evaluation and supplier selection
- Coordination of technical subcontractor managers and support of engineering teams in specification and procurement activities
- Monitoring of suppliers regarding technical progress, schedule adherence, quality, contract fulfillment, and cost compliance
- Evaluate supplier performance, production capacity, and supply chain risks; implement mitigation measures where necessary.
- Ensure the availability of hardware, materials, MGSE/EGSE/OGSE, and documentation required for assembly, integration, and test activities
- Provide the Project Manager with a consolidated overview of the status of industry and procurement activities.
- Reviews of support projects
- Identify industry partners as early as the bidding and early project phases and contribute to competitive industry strategies.
Requirements
Requirements:
- Degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a comparable technical discipline
- Several years of professional experience in satellite, instrument, payload, or aerospace projects
- Experience in the areas of procurement, supplier management, industrial project management, or project planning
- Knowledge of ECSS/customer requirements and the principles of product and quality assurance.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and coordination skills in multidisciplinary teams
- Structured, proactive, and solution-oriented way of working
- Fluent English skills; German skills are an advantage
